Had actually been waiting there for quite a while, Walking out from the trees as he heard Edward speaking.

"Hello Edward, it's a pleasure to meet you." Edward would probably notice quite a few similarities between Jade's military uniform and the one used by the military in his world with some certain differences.

Jade smiled "First I wanted to show you something interesting that I didn't mention when I was talking about the similarities between Alchemy and utilizing fonons." In a flash of blue light a lance appeared in his hand "It is a unique ability your body has to be prepared for. You can break a weapon down into its fonons and put the fonons into your body. So it is something like the second and third steps in Alchemy that Sabine discussed with me." He sighed "However it only works with this lance as it comes from my world."

Edward turned slowly as he heard the voice come from the other direction. He did, in fact, take notice of the uniform. Being around military personal, or such those who at least look it, made things a little less awkward for Edward.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, sir." Edward said, putting out his automail hand. Edward observed the lance that had appeared out of what seemed to be thin air.

"That's different." Edward started. "I mean, I know about breaking things down to their basic chemicals, but to be able to put them into your body... That's amazing." Edward was very interested in this, and began to wonder to himself if he would be able to do such a thing until the last bit of detail was spoke.

"So... I wouldn't be able to do that with a weapon of my own here, then?" Edward placed a hand under his chin and began to ponder. "That ability would be amazing on the battle field." Edward said quietly.

Nodded "Yes it does seem unique, it is even in my world. If you tried to do it and your body was not compatible to do it, well it just wouldn't be very good."

"Though granted you were able to do it, there are no fonons here." He sighed some

Giving Ed a rather evil look he said "Now if you would like Ed let's get started. For now I will give you a choice, seeing as you lack a weapon I am willing to simply do hand to hand. My observations won't be hindered if I don't use my lance."

Edward smiled. Not just any smile, but the smile he would smile when he was ready to go. There was fire in his eyes. He hadn't sparred with anyone since the last time he was home with Alphonse.

With that smile, Edward spoke before lowering his body to the ground. "Up to you, I can spar either way!" and with that, Edward swung his leg towards the feet of Jade to start the training.
