There was someone standing atop a building, across the street. Namely, a weasel, who'd been tracking the young woman on his silent flying air bike.

Her back was turned. This was the perfect moment... even someone with powers could be easy to take down if you took them by surprise...

He had been lining up the shot with his rifle, and now opened fire.

Jinx didn't even get a chance to scream as the stun shot blasted into her back sending her tumbling to the ground.

"MY QUEEN!" Fanbeemon dove to her side and then whirled to spy the attacker. "Fiend!" He rose his tail and fired stingers at Nack in fury.

"Fanbeemon..." groaned Jinx.

Nack hopped on his bike and sped out of the way. It was time for his partner to enter the fray...

"PARALYZE BREATH!" shouted a voice as a manhole cover suddenly flew off of its proper place, and shot at FanBeemon... accompanied by a cloud of paralyzing electricity.

Fanbeemon wasn't fast enough and shook violently twitching as he hit the ground, "N-no..." He whimpered.

Jinx rose to her knees using her left arm, the right one having gone numb, she felt weak and dazed. "What the hell is this?" Her numb fingers brushed her D-comm in a weak attempt at calling for help.
