The force of Scourge's attack sent Sally backward, half-flying half-skidding across the ground. She kept hold of the digi-soul encrusted sword, but only just as she collided with the wall of the building behind her. She had positioned herself so her back, not her head, would take the force of the impact, so she didn't have to worry about seeing stars, though she would be sore for quite some time. She winced.
Help had better get there soon. She braced herself for another inevitable attack, this time deciding she'd better try and dodge whatever came her way.

In the form of a digi-soul enforced Spin Attack that came hurtling out of a nearby lightpost, aimed squarely at Scourge.
Something else emerged from it as well... namely Rinkmon, who dashed straight at where RookChessmon was.
"You ladies need a hand?" the cyborg asked.

Scourge couldn't answer.
He was too busy being sent flying through the air by the Spin Attack that he really hadn't seen coming.

But she had a shaky smile on her face.
RookChessmon thanked Rinkmon in her own way - by swinging a massive arm at BlackGaogamon in a punch.

Rinkmon just responded by firing off a Quadruple Storm alongside Rook Chessmon's attack.

"FINALLY!" BlackGaogamon half shrieked, just as he was about to be smashed by both attacks. Light engulfed him, and he evolved into into BlackRapidmon, narrowly dashing away from being crushed beneath RookChestmon's arms. Bits of Rinkmon's attack chipped at his armor, but he got airborne in enough time to avoid the brunt of it.
The hedgehog just nodded to his partner, and BlackRapidmon grinned beneath his mask.
"Right, right... ENOUGH WITH THE MUSHY STUFF!" he shouted... and turned his aim on Sonic and Sally, instead of the Digimon. "HOMING MISSILE!" he roared, launching a volley of several seeking missiles for the Mobians.

"No time for questions," Sally said, gritting her teeth. "We've got to move."
And that was the cue for Sonic to do his thing.

Meanwhile...
"Rinkmon evolve to... MACH GAOGAMON!"
The newly evolved blue hound rocketed up alongside RookChessmon. As the puppet digimon blocked the attack, MachGaogamon decided to give BlackRapidmon a taste of his own medice...
"WINNING BLOW!" he roared, firing off his arm gauntlets like rockets.

BlackRapidmon gave a snort, shouting, "RAPID FIRE!"
Twin missiles launched out, aimed for MachGaogamon's oncoming gauntlets, attempting to deflect them.

"Perfect!"
She realized something and threw it at Scourge as fast as she could, aiming for his feet.
"We want to move faster now," she told Sonic.
Because what she threw was a BomberNanimon's Cherry Bomb.
RookChessmon used this opportunity as BlackRapidmon was focused on MachGaogamon to fire off her Rook Gatling attack, effectively firing everything in her arsenal at the cybernetic rabbit.

... while meanwhile, MachGaogamon used his speed to avoid the missile fire, while hoping to strafe the other hound with a blast of "HOWLING CANNON!"

Scourge, meanwhile... only noticed the bomb too late. "Oh SHI-!"
He was able to summon up a burst of Digi-Soul in front of him enough to soften the blow a BIT... but he still found himself thrown back a good ways... and landed right where he'd be at the Perfects' mercies.

Sally looked rather pleased with herself.

Wincing heavily, he looked up, again trying to stand, now much more unsteady. "You guys're... homicidal..."
A groan indicated that BlackRapidmon no longer WAS BlackRapidmon, as BlackTerriermon came crawling out of the hole he'd made in the ground... before flopping over, unconscious.
"Dammit...!" Scourge growled, and raced over to his partner, picking him up.
