As Kurata was busying firing away, the sound of clapping can be heard... barely, seeing as there was plenty of all-out gunfire noise.

"Ah, bravo Professor, bravo!" Joker said, calling out from a bench he had hauled out and sat down in. "That'll draw in the crowds!" With that, the Joker turned around, looked, then turned back, grinning. "Looks like I'm an early arrival...!"

"Early! Early!" Joker's partner, already Opposumon, parroted.

Kurata stopped, and... lowered his weapon.

"Joker? What the hell are you doing here?" he asked, with some hint of annoyance. It appeared like did not respond favorably to like after all.

"Oh, didn't you hear? It's Tamer Season!" Joker said, hopping out of his seat. "And guess who got to be one of the lucky few to go Tamer Hunting? Hmm? Hmm? Take a guess? ME! That's who!"

"Him! Him!" Opposumon said, bouncing up and down. The Joker continued, approaching Kurata.

"That's riiiiiiight! And guess who's on top of the list of those hunted? I'm looking at 'em." He stopped and leaned in to face the scientist. "So, let's cut to the chase, shall we? Oh, no hard feelings, Kurata baby! As much as I enjoy seeing you think you're on top of the world, I'll enjoy it even more when I knock you down." With that, the clown began laughing.

"... You're joking," Kurata replied. "I thought I'd get some entertainment out of this, not... well, YOU. What could you possibly do against the likes of me, Joker?"

Nise harumphed.

"There is a significant power difference..."

Dr. Nise roared in pain, only to recover quickly and try to kick Joker across the room.

"That's it!" Kurata screamed as he continued to fire. "Run scared! Flee before the result of my brilliance!"

Joker just laughed as Dr. Nise tried to kick him off, hanging on as if his life depended on it.

"Not run. FUN!" Matadormon shouted, still running as he launched more blades at Kurata... before slashing at one of the beams.

Kurata just continued laughing, firing up at where Matadormon...

... and thereby completing the vampire's job for him, sending all of the beams crashing down on the bio hybrid.

Dr. Nise changed tactics. He swung his foot at a large piece of machinery, intent on smashing the Joker against it.

As the beams came down, Matadormon leaped out of the way, barely dodging the attack in the process.

The Joker, however, wasn't so fortunate, Nise's attack slamming him into the machinery and causing him to lose his grip.

"Ow... whatta kick..." Joker moaned.
