"Oi, oi," Vi grumbled. "You'll be participating too, so don't get any weird ideas." The blue fox-rabbit-lizard looked at Impmon. "So... you versus me, and Konata spars with Mion?"

"No fair?" Reppamon disengaged and retreated a few paces back, circling Opossumon. "... you know, YOU'RE the one with the bombs here. I'm just a fox Digimon," she deadpanned.

Opossumon felt the need to protest. "Yeah, well, look at my little legs! Floating everywhere - it's not fun!"
...But as he complained, he held one hand behind his back, charging up an ever-growing orb.

"... I dunno, it seems like a LOT of fun to me," Reppamon commented, unaware of Opossumon's charging-up. "It's not quite flying, but having a bird's eye view has got to have SOME merits." That said, she gathered herself before vaulting toward her opponent, tucking herself into a roll and letting her large sword-tail slash at Opossumon. "KURUKURU REKKU ZAN!"

Opossumon ran on his little, little legs, stumbling just a little...and then, barely free of Reppamon's attack, throwing his orb, which expanded rapidly. "MYSTERY ORB!" It's purpose was to trap Reppamon inside...and drain her energy. It would make the battle hopefully easier.

Regardless, even as she gritted her teeth against the strain, Konata grinned her usual fox-like grin. "... y'know, I'm not actually right-handed."
Konata suddenly let her arm drop and spun to the side, swapping her digisoul to her left hand and trying to smack Mion as she passed.
Reppamon almost- ALMOST- managed to avoid the Mystery Orb. Unfortunately, she was still much too close to Opossumon, and her left leg was caught- which was MORE than enough for the entire orb to engulf the Adult Digimon. "Tsk!!" Reppamon snarled, while her blade-tail, with a mind of its own, started thrashing wildly against their prison, trying to find SOMETHING to slash at.

--and she moved her sword down to block it, though futilely. She couldn't angle it quite right or get enough force behind her and the swing pushed her back - pushed her so far back she fell backwards, the digisoul grazing her arm.
Well, that was embarrassing. "Tcchhh... Maaan, Konata, good shot..."
Instead of gloating...Opossumon let out a very huge sigh of relief. "Th-thank Yggdrasil... If that didn't work, I don't know what I could do next..." He collapsed backward to a sitting position, catching his breath. The balloon held strong against Reppamon's assault.

Reppamon stopped struggling, figuring that she'd be better off conserving as much energy as possible (ESPECIALLY given the orb's draining effect). "... you could do this, and YOU were the one talking about unfairness?" she grumbled. Was she- ... yes. Reppamon WAS sulking.

"You're legs are still longer," Opossumon shot back, drawing a balloon bomb from...out of nowhere. "And this is the only chance I ever have to hit anything! Nothing works otherwise..." He didn't yet attack, though.

Konata couldn't help but grin at Mion's excitement. "Oh hoh... you've got the Fighter class's blood flowing through your veins, huh?" Konata decided against adding that she was thinking of the berserking Dragon Quest III version that favored attack over actual armor defense. "Anyways... round three! The decisive battle! Gundam Fight! Ready... GO!"
Konata ended her yell with a left-handed swipe at Mion. Nothing special; just a diagonal cut with her digisoul sword.
"... that WOULD explain why you want to evolve so badly," Reppamon replied. "Still, that-" And then the orb dissipated, leaving Reppamon to try and regain her footing. The fox-like Digimon stumbled slightly. "Tsk...!!"

Mion stood her ground and waited until the last possible second to send a burst of digisoul through her sword, making it shine brightly and pulse outward. Hopefully it would knock Konata off her guard.
And Reppamon was free. But Opossumon was ready! He threw the bomb that he had charged up at her, taking the chance he had.

Opossumon's attack was a direct hit, the blast taking Reppamon right in the side and throwing her into the air. "Gah...!" She landed on her feet and slid to a stop a few feet away, gritting her teeth against the pain. "Is this..." Reppamon hissed, her tail lashing angrily. "... how you treat a lady!? SHINKUU KAMAITACHI!" That said, wind blades hummed through the air towards Mion's partner.

"Holy-- whooooaaaa!!!" Opossumon's balloons carried him higher and higher, wheee. "YOU'RE AS CRAZY AS YOUR PAAARTNEERRRR!!"
But he was able to throw a few balloon bombs from up there, even as the blades cut fur and hat.

... and the impact of Mion's attack still threw her right off her feet. "GYAH!" Konata managed to hit the ground rolling and quickly regained her footing. "Not a bad punch," she said, grimacing only slightly. "... but don't throw down the towel just yet...!" Konata swung yet again, this time relying on her now-longer reach to hit Mion.
"Wha- DON'T COMPARE ME TO MY PARTNER!!" Reppamon shouted back, leaping back away from the bombs. She couldn't afford to let any more of the things hit her, not with the damage she's already taken.

She wasn't backing down.
Of course, Opossumon had found his niche and was going to use it. "AS CRAZY AS KONATA, AS CRAZY AS KONATAAAA!" He took back what he said. Being up in the air was a lot better than being on the ground.

Under her mask, Reppamon's face was a bright red, though it was hard to tell whether it was from annoyance or embarrassment. "GAH! S-SHUT UP!!" She took a double step forward and vaulted at Opossumon again, a whirlwind of claw and fang. "JUUGA RANGEKI!!"
