Maya had left Mr. Tadakichi further away in the park. He was within' shouting distance should anything happen as always, but the young cat had a feeling that Jayfeather wouldn't want to talk to his larger companion either.

In fact Maya was fairly sure Jayfeather wouldn't want to talk to him.

But there were worse things he could be doing with his time.

"Jayfeather?" He politely called ahead hearing the blind cat just on the other side of some bushes.

The other cat's call didn't pull Jayfeather from is curled state. He replied with a sudden, sharp, "What do you want?" that only just managed to hide his pain.

The bushes rustled and Maya pushed his way through the thin branches into Jayfeather's clearing sitting politely.

"For you to talk." He stated calmly, not the kind to beat around the bush.

Jayfeather's head shot up and he turned on Maya, teeth bared. "Do I look like a cat who wants to talk right now?!"

He hated being this way - this angry and aggressive - but he knew it was the only way to be left alone. He couldn't tell anyone about the prophecy, or about the truth of Hollyleaf's death.
