To be perfectly honest, Tatum knew she should have done this at least after the Ryoko-getting-her-personality-changed incident. But... She had to say this.

She spied Hay Lin and meekly waved. "Hey."

Hay Lin waved back and offered a sheepish smile in Tatum's direction. The only thing she was getting from the air is that words needed to be spoken-by both parties. "Hey."

Despite the nervousness she was feeling at the pit of her stomach, she knew she had to do this. The day (or night as it were) wasn't getting younger. She took a deep breath of air and then turned to face Hay Lin.

"Hay Lin... We've known each other a long while now. You've seen my best, and I've told you what I was like at my worst. We've had our ups and downs, and..."

She paused for a brief moment than continued. "What I'm trying to say is this: I know we both love each other and well, when you back to your world I want you to bring me with you if you have the option after we stop the Demon Kings."

Hay Lin's jaw dropped in amazement at what she'd just heard. Had Tatum just...had she just asked if she could go with the Guardian to her world?!

Basically, for about the next few minutes she was speechless.
