"FLARE BUSTER!"

The attack came from a black insect with flame patterned armor and wings. He stood at the front lines of the remaining soldiers, an angry look in his eyes.

"Stand firm men... I've seen an Ultimate in battle, and this creature is weaker than a real one!"

BlackWarGreymon staggered slightly as the flame attack struck him. He glared at the Armored Digimon and bristled as he mentioned that he was weaker than a real Ultimate.

"Weak? WEAK? I am not weak, it is YOU who is!" BlackWarGreymon shouted. He knew that, even though he talked tough, he needed to stay prepared. The fact that three Perfects were able to overwhelm him way before was proof on strength in numbers. Nonetheless, he was still willing to prove he was stronger as he raised his arms over his head, energy gathering between his Dramon Killers. "GAIA FORCE!" With that, he launched the ball of energy at the soldiers.

This time they scattered, with Shadramon firing his own attack into it. The two attacks met explosively... creating a cloud of dust that Shadramon flew through.

"Power without intelligence is nothing more than weakness in disguise," hissed the insect. "PSYCHIC WAVE!"

Psychic waves emanated from his antennae, with the intent of causing searing pain in BlackWarGreymon's mind.

BlackWarGreymon let out a roar as he felt his mind being invaded. Bringing the Dramon Killers to his head, he tried to focus.

"Get... OUT OF MY HEAD!" the Ultimate roared, beginning to flail, hoping his claws would make contact.

Kallen was momentarily disoriented by this, but when she realized what had happened, her lips curled into yet another snarl.

"Do you see what kind of man your leader is?!" she growled. "One who abandons his people in such a manner?! To him, you were nothing but a calculated loss so he could escape!"

Guren winced, feeling as though this stung a bit hard with Kallen.

BlackWarGreymon stood in odd confusion as the dust settled and the one who had given him so much trouble had disappeared. Not only that, he had left his men behind.

To the Ultimate, it was a moment of clarity. He now knew what he had to destroy: not those who utterly abuse their power, but ones who would turn against those who would work faithfully with them. THEY were the true evil here.

"I... see what I have done wrong..." BlackWarGreymon said. "...and I wish to make it up... somehow."

Suzaku walked over towards Kallen, calmly placing a hand on her shoulder, before he looked back at BlackWarGreymon.

"Wrong? No... that's not necessarily the case. There are segments of the Dark Area that can't be allowed to stand up and do what they have for so long. Other segments are rising to take this Area back from those who have corrupted it."

Kallen sighed as he touched her shoulder, and subtly began to calm down.

"He's right... they fight under the pretense that they're doing it to improve their people's standing in the world... but all they've done is helped to worsen how people see their kind..."
