Dani had heard a lot about Tetha. Actually, what she heard about the Inns reminded her a lot of Econtra. So, she decided to take a little visit there. She was currently walking around, Plotmon X walking along beside.
"It's certainly windy. Your hair is going to be a mess," Plotmon X commented.
"You really worry about looks too much," Dani said.
"Says the young woman who has scars showing when your eyes are glowing," Plotmon X commented.
"Oh, you're taking shots? About time you got some snark. But let's keep glowing eyes on the down low, okay?" Dani said with a wide grin before catching the last of what Black Agumon said, looking over curiously. She raised an eyebrow and walked over.
Well, the kid certainly had a familiar look about him. A type she'd jokingly called 'once scary ghost' when she saw herself in the mirror when she was only twelve.
She couldn't just let him go off like that. "Hey kid," Dani said, holding up a hand in greeting. "You wouldn't happen to be new here, would ya?"
"Huh?" Devlin asked, looking up in surprise. "Oh, yeah. The name's Devlin."
Black Agumon gave his partner a look of surprise at how easily he was giving his first name, given his freakout before. But then, he wasn't giving out his last name, which said a lot.
"Name's Dani, with an I. Nice to meet ya," Dani said, smiling at Devlin. "So, hungry? How about I treat you to celebrate your arrival into a whole new world of insanity, then?"
A few meters away from Devlin and Black Agumon, another Tamer and her partner were entering the park.
"This is more like it!" Orsmon declared, stretching his arms above his head. Looking up at his Tamer he asked, "Now do you think I was wrong when I said we need to get out of the house more often?"
"Yeah, you were right," Mishio sighed, but smiled. "And it probably helped that Shiuchon-chan pretty much shoved us out the door."
Unlike Devlin, Mishio hadn't noticed anyone else in the park yet. Instead she and Orsmon were taking advantage of being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine.
"So...what do you want to do?" Mishio finally asked her partner. Orsmon merely shrugged in reply.
"There are a lot of humans here who are either children or teenagers," Black Agumon explained to Devlin. "For the younger kids, people usually try to keep an eye on them."
"So they actually help in fighting and everything?" Devlin asked.
"Sometimes," Black Agumon admitted. "It depends on who's taking care of them sometimes. Some are more lenient than others."
Devlin grinned. "Not much different from home, then."

"Sounds good," he answered. "I can't turn down a free meal."

Orsmon nodded. "That, too."

"Wow," he said. "There's a lot more kids here than I thought."
That was something he'd have to remember: Never let Ken find out about this, or he'd never stop complaining.
