Len could flail, kick and scream all he wanted, Haku was not putting him down. Or at least not until they were a good distance away, which is when she did finally let him back on his feet.
"Len, you are not a school boy. You don't even go to school. This is the Digital World, we've been here for months, and I'm your sister. So is Miku, so is Rin, Gaku is your brother and Greg is our big brother who takes care of us! This isn't a prank!"
She paused, then asked in a cracking, desperate voice.
"Please... don't stand there and tell me that your memory is really gone again..."
Len was about to retort when he realized what stage he was on. Karaoke. Singing...
He looked over at the microphone, feeling the pull of it. But to sing...he hadn't sung in years. How many times would he and Rin sing a song during play or during the time they spent together? Songs they liked and songs they wanted to make fun of. Music had tied them so close together, but then he realized...
And he knew he had to cut that tie, but now? Now they wanted him to sing. So did that man Rin wanted him to sing? Did she miss it, being that close? It...hurt to think about. To get close to her would be suicide, tempting himself with something he couldn't have, but to deny her?
"If Rin went through all this to get me to sing, then she has to come ask," he said, resisting the urge to just grab the mike. If she wanted him too, she had to ask. After all this...she owed him to ask herself.
Greg looked dubious, but he remembered Haku's words. 'They' sang. Not just Len. Even if she was acting normal, it was logical to think that whatever was effecting the twins went through both of them no matter what. They were just that connected, like human twins often were but on a much, much larger scale.
Haku nodded and quickly darted outside, grabbing Rin's arm and tugging just slightly, reluctant to hurt anymore of her family as she had with Len. She was still teary, but much calmer than earlier.
Rin was still...well, more than a little unhappy at Len's sudden change and quite lost in thought, so Haku's sudden grasp stunned her - but she shook her head and stared at her. "H-HakuHaku...? Len - where's Len? Is he himself again? Is he?"
Len was standing up now, staying on the stage. He didn't care about the weird stares. He was confused and angry and...desperate. He was desperate to see if Rin really wanted him to sing. If she missed it that much, that she still thought of him.
No one else mattered. Only Rin did right now. So he waited on stage, ignoring the confused stares, watching for his sister to come back with Haku.
Rin followed Haku, eyes downcast. She plastered a smile on her face, though - she wouldn't let her brother, no matter how different he may be, see her frown.
So she called up to him, "L-Len! Sing for Rin. Please?"
Len stared at Rin. Approaching downcasted and then using such a fake smile? He knew Rin better than that. She was upset. Upset...that he hadn't already sung? That he might still deny doing it?
How he wished that was easy, but in the end, he couldn't really deny Rin anything. "Fine, but next time, how about you just say please first instead of recruiting all these people, especially crooked cops," he said and grabbed the mike. Now what son-
He froze before moving to select a song. No, he knew already. Selecting a song with a similar beat, he began his song, looking surprised at first before he started to smirk. Why not? If she went this far, maybe he should give her a glance to the real him.
Greg just made a face and watched, deciding there was no point to correct his comments anymore. As he listened to the song though, his eyebrow only went higher. That was... definitely interesting, but some how with the behavior he'd been displaying, Greg nearly expected something even worse.
But as soon as the mike slipped from Len's hands, Greg was up on the stage, reaching out just in time to grab the Vocaloid before he hit the ground completely. Unfortunately he'd forgotten just how heavy they were, and with Len in his arms his knees hit the stage, Len's weight pulling on his shoulders a bit. Though he hissed at the pain, he managed to bite back the cry he wanted to let out, looking to the girls as he let out a shaky breath and put on a smile.
Rin literally jumped at her brother. "Len!!" She wrapped him in a hug, not holding back her tears now. "Y-you're back! You're back! I-I was so scared that since it didn't happen to me too, you'd...!"
Haku was on the stage next, clinging to Rin, Len and Greg all at the same time. For Greg it did hurt a little, his arms sore from having to catch something so heavy, but he didn't complain, just happy to see his little brother back to normal.
"I'm so glad you're okay, Len..." she said softly to him.
"I-Is everything okay?! I heard something--" Miku suddenly squeaked as she barged in, stopping as she saw the small crowd of Haku, Greg, Rin, and ... Len.
Was Len back to normal?
He didn't seem like he was acting weird at the moment, so she smiled brightly, and rushed toward everyone, trying as much as she could to hug Len tightly.
"LenLen? Are you okay now? You're not broken anymore? You worried all of us, so, so much!"

He nodded to Haku then.
"Go. I'll make sure he stays in here."

"Let's hope that worked."

She'd heard the words to Len's song as well...and they made her breath catch.
But still - still, that wasn't Len. That was a different person. This here - this was Len. This was the only Len she had to worry about.

And then his eyes snapped open wide as it all came back, looking almost horror stricken.

She didn't know what she was scared of.
But whatever it was...
...she didn't want it to happen.
