Who: Anei Yagami, Pawmon [Self-Log]
What: Bad memories and thinky-thoughts
When: April 4, mid-evening
Where: Royal Base, Anei's room

Lying on the bed, Pawmon watched her partner carefully. Anei was sitting at her desk but beyond that wasn't doing much except for staring off into space. And that made Pawmon a bit concerned. Quiet Anei was never a good thing. In Anei-speak it either meant that she was depressed, or was plotting something that could wind up getting both of them in trouble.

And given Takeru's revelation over the D-Comm a couple weeks ago, the feline Child-level would bet even BITs that it wasn't the latter.

That does it; enough's enough, Pawmon thought to herself. With a stretch and a yawn she got up, then jumped from the bed to the desk. "Hey, Digital World to Anei. You going to come in for a water landing soon?"

"Huh?" Anei blinked up at her partner. "What's wrong, Pawmon?"

"Nothing; I just thought your eyes could use a break from staring at that same spot on the wall for half an hour," her Digimon replied as she sat down. "...what Takeru said about that Haruki guy brought back some bad memories, didn't it?"

Anei nodded. "If Yggdrasil could bring Hitomi-san's brother here, what's to stop him from bringing Hiro-niisan here?"

"Relax, Anei-chan. I think this Digital World has reached it's quota on psychos now." Pawmon tried to sound reassuring. "Besides, you've already revealed your big secret to all the non-hostiles here, so what's the worst he could do? You've taken all his fun away."

"Hm." The girl chuckled and smiled a little; holding up a hand, she allowed her magic to flare up slightly. "But there's still all of the bad guys out there, Pawmon. Doom...Kurata...any of the Demon Kings..." Anei looked up at her partner. "As a naturally-born half-Digimon I'd be very valuable as a captive, or a lab experiment."

"Don't say things like that!" Unlike her mother, Pawmon normally went around on four legs like a normal housecat but there were times when she'd go bi-pedal. This was one of those times. Shooting to her feet, Pawmon leaned forward and rested her front paws on Anei's shoulders. "I've spent this long helping your mother and your dad, not to mention my folks, keep that from happening to you in your world. There's no way in hell I'm gonna let it happen here."

Anei smiled. "I know."

"Besides, maybe being in this Digital World would be good for your brother," Pawmon continued. "Dagomon isn't here to warp his mind any further, and maybe a couple of the others could help us undo whatever damage that tentacle-faced creep did to him." Anei giggled, and Pawmon allowed herself a small smile; there was the Anei she knew.

Potential crisis, averted.
