Keeping one's head low was, really, the best option in a city like this.

It wasn't that there weren't Tamers in it - there were, but they weren't entirely as well respected or well off as they might be in other cities

Eventually, Kallen rounded a bend, and... that put her and her partner right in front of Suzaku's path.

Narrowing her eyes, she began to advance towards him. Of course, she recognized his guise instantly. She knew it well.

"Stay right there," she said, loudly. She wouldn't be letting him walk away this time.

Suzaku stopped cold, while Ryuudamon blinked and looked back and forth between the both of them.

The Digimon was certain he was missing something. Even he knew he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but ... yeah. Something wasn't right.

So he took the chance to ... step away from Suzaku.

"..." Suzaku was glad for the mask he was wearing. "Kallen," he spoke, the mask's voice modulation kicking it. "...do I even need to ASK what it is?"

"You've been avoiding me," Kallen said. "I can see why... I've been avoiding you. But we need to talk."
