Chika looked up from where her head rested on her arms, still resting her chin on her arms and trying to keep any more tears from pouring out of her, much like they had been as she tried escaping the base to go find Ikuto.
"Thanks, Lala-chan," she murmured, but she didn't move to take the drink. Instead, she turned her eyes away again.
It just seemed like blow after blow recently. Yukidarumon had been difficult enough, just knowing how much she meant to Ikuto, and being friends with her as well. And then Takeru disappeared, and Ikuto was taken hostage ..
Lalamon frowned, and picked up a cup. She carried it over to Piyomon, offering it to the pink bird.
Yoshino sighed, and sat down next to Chika. She didn't ask her if she wanted to talk about anything... instead, she just wrapped her arms around the girl and hugged her.
"Chika. I'm here for you, alright?" was all she said.
Piyomon took it, nodding his thanks to Lalamon before taking advantage of the drink he'd been offered and taking a few sips.
Chika felt Yoshino's arms around her, and instinctively leaned into her older sister, clinging tightly to her and burying her face into her shoulder. She nodded a little.
"I know," she said quietly, "Thank you, Yoshino-neechan."
She was glad that Yoshino hadn't asked her to talk about anything. She didn't want to talk right now.
Yoshino sat there quietly, and began to pet Chika's hair. She sat there calmly, wondering how to approach this.
Eventually, however, she knew she had to say something.
"Chika... I can't... I can't really say I know what you're going through," she began. "The last thing that happened like this... I was more on Ikuto's side of things than I was yours..."

Chika hated this. She hated it with a passion.
