C.C. looked neither amused nor bothered by Kallen's outburst.

She sincerely doubted KALLEN, of all people, came for the sole purpose of rescuing HER, of all people.

She ran a hand through her hair.

"Lelouch. Kallen. ...'Zero,'" she added the last part with a bit of an emphasis, "I'm mildly curious... Just what have you accomplished in this world?"

Suzaku nodded a bit, before looking back across the gap. "Okay, Mata--"

Matadormon was leaping across the surging sewage water, C.C. in his arms. He landed right amidst the entire group, setting the woman down.

"I tire of prattle. If you lot cannot make a decision, then there is no use for you."

Suzaku's eyes widened, and he took a step back as Yashamon tensed and prepared to leap out... but Suzaku held up a hand to stop him.

"I- ... we'll," he nodded to Kallen, "go along with you for now, to see what you're talking about. We make no promises, however."

C.C. was set down, and she ran a hand through her hair as PicoDevimon fluttered over. For a moment - a very brief moment - her eyes settled on Lelouch, the first time really seeing him up close since...

...in that moment, her gaze softened. But. It was very brief, and it returned to normal just as quickly as it had come.

"Lelouch," she said, disregarding... pretty much everyone else.

Suzaku gave a mild, unheard grunt, looking to Kallen and Lelouch.

"Hanging around here wouldn't be wise... we should all be on our ways."

"I agree. Let's get out of here," Lelouch said, before looking over at C.C. "What is it?"

Kallen stood at Suzaku's side... and just remained silent. She shot a silent glare in C.C.'s direction, saying nothing at what she had said but looking rather... perturbed.

Matadormon clicked his bladed fingers together. "Good. Then, come along... we have much to discuss."

He looked back down at C.C. briefly. "As I said... you won the agreement. We'll see if it indeed pans out in the end..."

Suzaku just nodded to Yashamon, and, sweeping his cloak back around him, set off silently after Matadormon as he moved deeper into the sewage tunnel.

C.C. could practically FEEL the glare, though she didn't bother to give Kallen the time of day and look at her as she did it. No, she was just going off what she anticipated.

She leveled her gaze squarely on Lelouch, smirking. "Oh, nothing. I do hope the lot of you have broken from your doldrums, though..."

She looked up, at 'Zero' as he walked away, and turned to look back at her.

...ah, that would be another glare, she expected, behind that mask.

Almost refreshing to see some things take the expected course, anyway.
