For a time, Nia just lay there silently, as she had for the entire time she'd been there.

But after a while... her hand stirred, slightly.

Which was a precursor to her eyes snapping open, and staring forward blankly.

Simon's eyes widened, and he pushed off the door frame. Without any hesitation, not even possible fear she might still be under the Anti-Spiral's control, he walked towards her beside.

"Nia...?"

Nia sat up. Almost mechanically, she turned to look at Simon.

"This was a mistake. I will simply leave this place."

And yet... she lingered. Staring forward, vacantly. Absently.

"I will... I will leave... S-simon...?"

Simon knelt down next to her bed, reaching out for her hand. "There's no need for that any longer, Nia... There never was. This is where you're supposed to be. It's where you need to be."
