Before PawnChessmon could react, webbing lanced out from various directions, ensnaring the both of them. There was quite a bit of it, and it was rather strong - keeping both Tamer and Digimon from doing anything but give a futile struggle against their sudden bindings.

The source?

Several Dokugumon, who very well had the pair surrounded.

Alicia trembled in fear at the sight of all the venomous, spider Digimon converging on them. She tried to fight free from the webbing, but failed miserably. She couldn't move her hands enough to preform any spell; nor could she even bring herself to speak from her fear to call upon Fauchard.

PawnChessmon was even worse off; he couldn't reach his spear, or else he'd have already freed himself. All he could do was look desperately to Alicia, praying for her to snap out of her stupor... he needed to evolve! If he could just do that...!

The Dokugumon practically salivated as they moved in, some eyeing the others with a bit of a challenging glare. There obviously wasn't enough between the Child Digimon and the young girl for all of them to feed on... more than likely, they'd be liable to kill some of their own brethren fighting over them...

...

At least, this would have been the case.

If not for a sudden, intense flash of a sudden, violent attack all around them. Within moments, the Dokugumon had been obliterated, reverting back into harmless Digi-Eggs, while the webbing burst apart into bits of data.

Alicia fell to her knees - her D-Comm clattering to the ground as she did so - heaving frightened breaths for several moments. Her eyes were wide as saucers. She would have been dead there...

She couldn't even react enough to defend herself...

...and yet, Fate could wield the level of power that she did... Compared to that, she... she...

The fact she'd been saved didn't register to her for many moments.

Finally, she snapped out of it as PawnChessmon shook her shoulder lightly. She looked up to see he was holding her D-Comm... and then, she looked past him, eyes going even wider.
