( It wasn't that Touma had intentionally delayed coming to Masaru and Yoshino about the Neon matter. It was more that he had been agonizing over just how to put it ever since hearing about it. )

Masaru was the one who answered. He looked at him carefully for just a second, before grinning a bit and throwing up a hand. "Yo. What's up?"

Touma smiled nervously.

"Hello, Masaru," he said. "Um... I think we should get right to it. May I come in?"

Masaru slapped Touma roughly on the shoulder and practically dragged him over the doorstep. "What kinda stupid question is that?"

Touma just frowned at that, feeling almost as if he was betrating Masaru by accepting all of this camaraderie.

"I guess you're right," he said, quietly.
