Suddenly, a low chuckle echoed around the small, dark room.

"They say denial is not healthy, Kagura."

Kagura's eyes widened, and he shot up straight out of his chair. The man looked around wildly.

Where the hell had that voice come from...?

He... didn't say anything.

He was hearing things again, obviously. It was just another delusion, responding to it directly would only encourage it...

Another laugh.

"They did do QUITE the number on you, it seems, Kagura. That you've held yourself together this long is SOMEWHAT impressive, at least... for a human."

Kagura's eyes narrowed into slits. He gazed around the room, trying to determine where the voice could possibly be coming from. But, it seemed to have no real direction. No apparent source.

It was just... THERE.
