Karin sat on the floor near the bed, back resting against the wall and her knees drawn to her chest. Her head was bowed slightly over them. She hadn't been out of this room in the days following Kazune's "death," and quite honestly? She didn't plan on coming out anytime soon.
She'd been asked by Shi-chan several times if she was hungry. She answered 'no,' every time.
She'd been asked if she wanted to see her friends. Another 'no.'
She'd been asked to please, please try to cheer up.
... That was damn near impossible right now.
She'd run out of tears for the time, but she had no doubt they'd arise again at a moment's notice.
Shi-chan nuzzled her Tamer's side, blinking worriedly up at her.
"Karin-nya ..."
Karin didn't answer.
