Lightposting in, Taichi and Zero quickly found their way to Neo. The gogglehead noted the distance between Neo and his partner with a frown, but didn't comment on it.

He'd known that Neo had been having trouble with his roommate, but, honestly, hadn't been paying much attention to his D-Comm lately.

Neo stood up, and slowly turned to face Taichi.

He motioned with his hands and Agumon came to stand at his side. Taking a deep breath, Neo began to say...

"Taichi. From this moment on, you and I are enemies."

Taichi stared at Neo for several moments before bursting out with, "Why, Neo?! I thought we were past all that! This world's giving you a fresh start and you're just walking backwards?!"

He turned away. "My new benefactor... Akihiro Kurata... he has technology that can help a human rise above their limitations. He can heal Rei's body. ... This supposed to be on the 23rd? I thought it was more of a 22nd thing, which is why I had gogglehead tell Ivan he was gonna be out.
