Okay, perhaps you don't check LJ every day like the dorks like me do, but I notice when people I truly appreciate have gone and left my journal. Do you want to know why I said that I've always had so much respect for you? You're probably one of the strongest people I've ever met (online or IRL) *because* of how well you handled almost losing life and limb (weird, that's actually a euphamistic phrase, but in your case, it's certainly not a euphamism, it's the truth). You're a fighter, and the Will To Live is a strong, strong thing, and you never once gave up fighting nor hope. That's impressive considering that most people would have faced with what you were faced with. People tell me I'm strong, but I don't always feel it, and it feels good to be acquainted with other fighters. Developing permanent illnesses and dealing with a very personal death has not been easy, and I have my down days because the system has not been terribly easy on me and every health professional has verified that there's no way I could return to f/t work like
