This week I tackled the project of taking everything off my 500GB external hard drive so I could repartition it. I had split it in half, thinking I'd fill the first half with Time Machine backups and the second half with media. Um, wrong. The screen on my second generation nano started to go out months ago. If I just turn it on, screen is black or has lines across it, but it will still play music. If I reset it to where I have an apple logo on the screen, the screen will come up and be visible. But once I turn it off and try to turn it off again, black screen.

And all the while, the band played on.....

(Sorry, bad pun.)

But I feel you on the frustration!
