A friend who wants to try fanfic asked me for some recs, and I sat down today to select a few. As a result, I've got about four million browser tabs open, my entire fanvid collection playing on repeat, a sore ass, and a horrible fear that I will somehow do it wrong and wind up turning her off the stuff. What if our tastes happen not to intersect,

Oh, God, you're TOTALLY going to think I'm an internet stalker, but I clicked your Dark Angel tab and saw that you are going to do a podfic for alyse's "All the King's Horses and All the King's Men" and that totally makes me do a keyboard smash of glee thusly:

ZOMG, I fail epically, because I just had to counterstalk you to figure out that I see your username all the time in my media player. Dude, awesome jobe with poisontaster's We Walk the Same Line. I followed the flashback changes without a problem. Thank you THANK YOU for recording longer fics like Hangman and Treadmill. I commute on foot, and you've been terrific company on many a walk. (Yes, I know I've never commented. Delurking is proving to be a long and painful process for me.)

Anyway, I need to finish And Still Hope before I get to AtKHaatKM. I'm avoiding the edit because I can't get over how unsnarky M/A sound in my voice, when they totally sound like themselves in my head. Poke me about it, okay? alethialia hasn't said a word about how long I'm taking, which makes it easier to put off.

LOL!! You counterstalked me! I'm so glad you like my podfic! I loved doing poisontaster's We Walk the Same Line - such a great story. Too bad she doesn't do much gen - I'd really like to read more of her stuff. I like the slash too, it's just a bit too much for me sometimes.

No problem about not commenting - it's hard to remember once one is finished listening to a podfic, so I really don't expect it from people. Although when I get it I am of course thrilled. :-)

I try to reserve a night every week for my podficcing. For instance, Friday night is my podficcing night every week (yes, I am an old married lady who has nothing better to do on a Friday night). That helps me to at least get a little done every week.

I'm SO looking forward to both your fic and your podfic!!!
