Urge to kill rising

The douchebags upstairs have a leak either in their bathtub or their washing machine. I can see the streaks of damp forming on both my ceiling and both sides of the bathroom/kitchen wall ( Read more... )

Do you have an on site manager or emergency contact number for your property? This definitely qualifies as an emergency since it's causing property damage and if water is gathering above your ceiling it's at serious risk of falling down. :( What horrible people. With all those complaints how have they not been evicted?

Hope you feel 100% soon!! And get to go have your anniversary fun! :)

I have called the property manager and am just awaiting a call-back.

There are two boys upstairs - good and evil. John spoke to evil yesterday who did nothing with the info. I went today and spoke to good it seems as he took my e-mail and promised to copy me into all correspondence with their landlord; he even came to see how bad it was looking in my flat.

I am happy to say evil is moving out with his gf at the end of the month!

Thankie :) We got Japanese take-away for our meal (as I didn't think I'd enjoy the restaurant) and went to the shelter on Sunday looking for a new family member :)

Can you call the fire dept? I know you can call them in the states if there's a leak and you can't reach anyone. They once showed up at a bf's apt and fire ax'd his kitchen to bits for a major leak flooding the downstairs store.

Who cares if they're home. They ain't answering.

Also wtf. Are they washing one single item at a time?

I'd charge them money. There's no such thing as a free peepshow.

Eeep. I think the people put wooden flooring down in the flat above me. They wrecked my Christmas pulling stuff up and now all I hear is some woman walking around in high heels alot. I thought the guy was single...or maybe he likes to dress up. Goodluck getting your stuff sorted. Definately sounds like you need to talk to someone about the water leak! :-S

Perhaps she'll fall over and sprain her ankle - that'd teach her :)

I have gotten the ball rolling - I want it all sorted NOW NOW NOW. It's good though, as I was thinking of repainting the kitchen, so now have more of an excuse :)

I find sleeping propped up with tons of pillows helps reduce coughing at night. It feels a bit weird as you end up sleeping almost sitting up, but it does really help with the coughing.

That has helped the last couple of nights! I just need to teach myself how to sleep in one place.

Could you call the flat manager and tell them? There has to be a contact number or something for complaints. This is definitely serious enough to call and complain, they are damaging your home! Not to mention if it continues it could be a safety hazard.

The beautiful thing is that due to data protection I cannot find out the details of the landlord. I can get his last number if a pay a fee to the land registry, which I don't want to be doing.

I have spoken to the nicer of the two guys upstairs and I gave him my e-mail so he copies me into ALL of the correspondence with his landlord in getting this sorted. If I don't hear by Wendesday I am going to be the most peculiar pain in the arse he has ever met :)
