I... refuse to use those. So... I don't know what to suggest. BUT - menstrual blood is fairly thick, so it seems to me that just a small toothpick hole may not affect it significantly.

I have this thing about jamming things into my vagina where bacteria can breed, especially since my friend Sandra had to have a complete hysterectomy at age 17 because of a tampon.

Ahhhh. Well. I feel comfortable with a device made of medical-grade silicone that I can boil the crap out of should I feel the need.

I'm sorry about your friend, Rattie. *hugs* That shouldn't have happened, and it's one of the reasons I don't like tampons (along with being leaky and leaving fibers in the vagina).
