When the New Year looks as dark as the year you've just left. January 1st is about new beginnings. New starts. Second chances. Being resolute to face the future. And in myself I'm fairly confident that 2009 might just hold that tiny ray of light that will prove to be the spark that I need to light the fire under the steam engine of my life. Happy New Year to you, too, even though it's already started now. And I can understand your ... well, being torn is probably the wrong expression, but I am tired and my brain is not working, so I shall go with it, I can understand your being torn between wanting to have a social life and wanting to just kick back and relax. I guess, like with everything in life, the trick is to find some kind of balance between the two.

Yeah, balance is important, but I guess since I stay home most of the time I actually have to make an effort to go out and enjoy myself, but really I do enjoy myself when my father and I are getting on.
