Te-dum. Right, Daddy is not much different, although they seem to be getting a decent amount of gunk out of his chest, so that's definitely a good thing. Also, we managed to spend an entire four and a half hours talking, playing cards, doing the Times 2 crossword, and doing a gentle killer su doku. I agree, the cinema isn't the best place for a set-up, but it's a start! Give me time! I had already thought of getting him to come with us to see you in the play in December... *schemes*

Can you take your laptop to the hospital and wath a DVD on it?

Also, I remembered yesterday - if you ask the right nurse you might be able to take food in for your dad and get it reheated in the kitchen (most of them should have microwaves now). We used to get people doing that when I was on placement.

*laugh* It is a start. I certainly wasn't complaining, I was just... commenting! Feel free to scheme away!

The laptop is old, and had never had DVD capabilities, so that's not an option. I was thinking travel trivial pursuit, and my compendium of games that has like, chess, backgammon, ludo, snakes and ladders, and about three other things that I've forgotten!

Hmmm. I'd have to get to know the nurses a little better before I ask that, I'd want to be sure I can ask them and they'll be nice to me before I try that. Plus that'd mean I'd have to come up with some dinners that I can cook to take in to microwave!
