My dog Fergie is slowly deteriorating. I just got of the phone with the Vet to find out exactly how much things are going to cost. I couldn't finish the conversation with him as I started to cry to hard

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know exactly what you're going through. What you need to do is consider Fergie's quality of life. Is it worth holding on to her for a few more months? Will she suffer? If she won't be happy, your kindest act will be to let her go.
