Yuri is just lucky enough that in his explorings of the surrounding areas he spots the alien being. Of course, the first thing he sees is a nude form with long hair and that immediately makes a *pling* go off in his mind for...not the expected reasons. But the naked female form quickly sets off warnings of other kind within him, mainly from his fusion forms. The most powerful ones, even. Seraphi Radiance, the form that had taken over his body and mind and that it'd taken Alice's sacrifice to placate ( ... )

Part of her attention shifted at the knowledge of another within her close range of mental sweeping. JENOVA didn't recognize the brief contact as anyone from the planet where she had originated from, so it was easy to pass off the other with not even a shift of her physical form. Perhaps a good pawn in flesh, but she really was weapon training.

After a moment, she finally turned her head to regard the brunette with mismatched eyes and found it easy to recognize him. He was one of the first that she had spoken to after growing lost parts, and he had seemed particularly adamant about name calling and the like. Such a child...

"You," she said simply. She shifted her grip on the whip, binding up her long silver hair with the weapon and allowing most of it to hang down her back innocently. "Explorations or stupidity?" Her glance caused a small smirk to appear on her lips. "Explorations it seems..."

That was a phrase that she had heard once or twice on Gaea, but it seemed useless given that she did not feel happiness as humans did. The only sense of pleasure that she had acquired was consuming planets and perhaps watching Sephiroth puppeteer the humans.

Glancing towards another wisp of Lifestream, she offered only a small smug smile. "Are you truly in search of the answer to that question?" Perhaps he was one of those 'makes conversation' people? There had been plenty of scientists that had been those, but she had taken care of them quickly enough. "Did you contact that friend who you thought summoned us?"

Kain was also preparing for the battle ahead, seeking out a new place to get in some more practice. He'd not yet spent much time in the Planet's Core, and he looked around with interest once he arrived. This should do for a little while. Perhaps he could come across some of those strange mannequins to beat up.

But instead of one of those targets, Kain noticed someone else. He clutched his spear tightly as he approached the figure. For some reason, he was getting a deep sense of dread, the same feelings he'd had about Kefka here, and back home, Golbez.

She sensed him long before she gave an recognition of doing so, but JENOVA intently studied this one. The spear would be an issue in some regard, given the reach that it provided the other warrior, but hopefully she could avoid conflict and simply learn more or get another pawn. Sometimes both opportunities arose.

Turning her head, she peered at the other for a moment before smiling invitingly. "Are you looking to battle here? I was just admiring the scenery, but I can leave if you like." She kept her voice smooth and sweet, curling her bare arms around her back.

"I was, eventually... but I'm in no rush." Kain remained guarded and cautious, unsure yet what to make of her. He didn't like the eerie feeling he was having, and all those reminders of the past. Yet as much as he was creeped out, something in her tone started to almost soothe him, oddly enough. "...anyway, were you practicing, yourself?"

No rush indeed, JENOVA thought as she regarded the other quietly for a moment. Clearly, he understood that she was not entirely innocent, given how defensive he was. "No, not practicing," she replied softly. "This place brings me the feeling of peace and quiet, so I was just enjoying that."

Glancing over towards the other, she smiled disarmingly. "What's your name?"

It could have been neutral or hostile ground - it would not have mattered to Selphie one way or the other. And anyway, the only way to learn about what was going on was to plunge in head first sometimes. So with some regret, she had said good bye to her train yard dimension. Not that with the distractions in this place it bothered her for long. To tell the truth though, this place kind of gave her the creeps. Something didn't feel quite right.

Was this really the core of a planet? Should she be able to survive here at all? Well, when strong magic was in question...anything was possible right?

Well, well, there was a bright and shining star, JENOVA thought. She dropped her hand from where it had consumed the wisp of Lifestream and considered a course of action. For the moment, it seemed wasteful to attack the humans until she had read more of their minds. This one would be easy to twist though, should it come down to the use of physical force.

Turning, she dropped the hold that she had on the spiked whip, allowing it to completely pool at her feet. She tilted her head to the side as she watched the brunette, blinking mismatched eyes. This was a child. "And you are, yellow-sunshine-child?"

A whip? REally? My nunchaku could take that.....eh heh, no offense Quistis.

"Yellow...sunshine...child?" she repeated, not believing the woman had actually called her that. Then again, it was better than being attacked. "Selphie, SEED Rank 21 and Balamb's Garden Festival coordinator. And who are you, multi-colored eyed-helmet wearing-whip lady?"

It would probably be rude to ask 'what are you?' to a complete stranger, so she'd hold off on that one for now.

The words about rank and affiliation were simply a jumbled mess of concepts, though a quick scan of surface thoughts while the girl spoke provided some information. There was nothing spectacular, only that SEED was apparently a military organization of some sort. Silly name for soldiers, and an odd uniform for one as well.

"We have no formal title for ourselves, but under general consensus from our consciousness, we accept the name 'JENOVA'," she replied, ignoring the mockery at her choice of speech. "What is your purpose in this place? You clearly do not seek wisdom or knowledge..."
