Who: Saleh and Open
When: After the battle
Where: The Rift (Neutral)
What: Training and/or conversation.
Type: Action or Log
Notes/Warnings: Open to either faction as long as they don't attack him. I'm not really looking for fights here. Characters can either already be on the field with him, or just arriving at the scene. Either way, feel free to come in and finish off the mannequin (or if not, Saleh will finish it off in his next tag).
Saleh held his staff at both ends as the mannequin advanced on him with its sword. As the mannequin attacked, swinging its sword, Saleh blocked the attacks, occasionally countering with a swing or a stab from his staff. He blocked another overhead attack, then pushed forward, causing the mannequin to stumble back a few steps. Saleh stepped backwards himself, and then dashed to the side as the mannequin rushed in for another attack.
Utilizing Genesis's abilities in the last battle had helped him get a better feel for close combat, but Saleh was still not accustomed to it, nor was he fond of it. This style of combat was just too vicious for his tastes, and required more stamina than mages would possess. Granted, Saleh's mountain climbing had given him more stamina than the average mage, but the strenuous pressure of close combat was still extremely taxing for him. Even now, as he defended himself from the mannequin's attacks, Saleh could feel his breathing becoming heavy, and his heart pounding hard.
