My opinion (not meant to upset you):

He's a great villain for sure, but at the end of the day villains are villains and everything is black and white in Disney films. Thus, Jafar is evil. He just happens to also be comical and debonair. There's supposed to be an attractiveness to him, I think, which might make it hard to see the dark and dangerous side of him. But don't forget, he had Jasmine in shackles, forcing her to feed him at one point in the film. That's pretty dark and dangerous. Maybe it was your crush on him that made you see the good in him rather than just the bad?

Lol, I hear ya.

For the fairy tales, I do personally think Disney sticks with the good is good and evil is evil formula almost to a fault, but our ability as an audience to analyze things is what causes us to empathize with the villains beyond what was originally intended.

<3 I was also a Disney fangirl, but when Kingdom Hearts came out... it was like there had finally been a video game series that had been created just for me.
