I guess what I mean is that I felt like both of those two characters completed their "journeys" and that they grew into themselves. They met, learned from one another, and realized what they should do. That said, I don't know if the only reason Smith left was because he was hurt ("he'll die if he stays here"), but I think they knew that they cared about each other enough that distance didn't matter. I felt like them being able to let each other go made their love stronger somehow.
So, yeah.. idk. Hopefully some of this made sense, haha.

As a matter of fact that's what bums me out about the movie most of all. I LOVED the characters - Meg, Herc AND Hades. Pegasus was pretty good for an animal sidekick and Pain and Panic made good villain lackeys too, but the movie itself fell so flat and was rather disappointing to me, and it bummed me out that all these great characters got such a bum movie :\
I know it wasn't horrible and I thought it was OK, but considering I love almost all Disney Movies, it being just OK was a big letdown/

Though, by the way, it's totally possible to feel neutral about a character. I more or less feel neutral about Ariel and mainly like her fiesty spirit and the fun underwater world she lives in.
