Insensitive and a bit of a douche Chad might be, but his heart's in the right place, and for a second there I thought he might be able to get Jensen to talk, though it seems like Jensen may just have found his voice (for now at least) in the guitar. Lovely update! :)

I had to keep to the timeline where Jensen dosen't talk until later on. :D. I'm hoping to write a timpstamp that will take place after Nightmares of Innocents when Jensen does start talking more. I just need more time.

Chad is fun to write because he just says whatever he want s to say, without thinking first. I overthink everything before I say it, so it's nice to just let lose through him. LOL

Awww this was perfect. But my comment shouldn't surprise you, right? You know how much I loved the beginning of that chapter. The meeting with Chad is perfect, you managed to make the character loveable despite being annoying and clumsy in his approach of Jensen. I liked that he did not gave up despite the first bad impression, which shows that he has a good heart and make it plausible that this guy did called 911 to safe Jensen's life. Now what do you have in store for the rest of the fic? Will you go back to the trial and Jensen's need -or not- to testify? And poor Misha will be back soon, right? Right?

Edit to add that the cuteness of Jensen wearing sunglasses was almost too much for me. If only my drawings were good enough...

I don't want to give away what's going to happen next, but rest assured that Misha will be back and they will have to decide how much of a part Jensen will play in his parent's trial. Jared will keep it to a minimum, I'm sure.

You are so very welcome. It was fun for me, imagining what Chad would do and say when meeting Jensen. The major difference between him and Jared during his first meeting with Jensen is that all the things Jared thought but kept to himself, Chad just blurted out. LOL. I'm glad you liked it. <3

Yay!! So glad to see an update. Chad certainly is a character, isn't he? I know people like that - people who open their mouth before engaging their brain! At least his heart is in the right place :)

I'm the opposite of Chad, I don't say anything until I've thought about every ramification and how it might sound to other people. I choose my words very carefully, both when I'm writing and when I'm speaking. So, it's freeing to write a character like Chad, who says whatever he's thinking as soon as he thinks it. LOL

The guitar is a perfect way for Jensen to open up a bit more. I see it being something that will help him along his healing process.
