Of course his Calculus class was at eight-thirty. Why wouldn't it be? People were always at their most willing to learn while bleary-eyed and barely awake, and the professors knew it. He wasn't quite alone in that thinking, as Vanessa also surviving off the her own cup of hot coffee. Her class wasn't until nine. But if she didn't give herself enough time to wake up she'd never absorb a word the professor said.

Since the weather was nice enough she was looking for a place outside to maybe sit for a few minutes and write. She stopped however, when she spotted Ferb on the steps. A familiar face, despite it being one she didn't see all that often, was a relieving sight. She walked over to where he was sitting on the steps.

"Whatca' reading?" she asked.

He answered without looking up. "Just a silly little crime drama," he murmured, putting in his bookmark and closing the cover. When he did look up, he swallowed thickly, forcing himself not to squeak or give anything away regarding the words "crush" or "I think you're gorgeous" or "your hair is shiny like shiny things". Especially not that last one, it didn't even make sense.

"You've a class here too?" He moved over, giving her room to sit if she wanted. His coffee cup was a welcome distraction, and he took a generous swig.

Vanessa nodded, completely oblivious to the inner workings of Ferb's mind at the moment. She took a seat next to him, sipping at her drink. "Yeah, I've got composition at nine. What about you?"

"Calculus at eight thirty." He winced inwardly and shook his head. "I anticipate the barista and I becoming very close."
