From what I remember about these characters, Angel seems to be a pretty good fit.

I would sat Angelique. The first part of your description particularly struck me as very much like her. The fact that you need to feel like you are in control, you don't want to appear weak no matter how lonely you are so you may come across as superior or arrogant, but deep down you are really sensitive and just want love and acknowledgement: all that struck me as being characteristic of Angelique.
