[Since Barbossa's disappearance Jack's plots to steal back the Perl have been all for naught. So he's decided to concentrate his thoughts to his teaching. [Clopin has been returning to the library often to study up for class. He's been trying to read a copy of Voltaire's Mahomet for about three hours, but now he's taking a break to walk around.
