He is, however, sitting at a table and poring over every related book, leaflet, magazine, and scrap of paper he can find. The entire surface of the table--literally

[Yeah, he's just gonna hold those books until you notice him.]

Everything I can get my hands on. It's all I can do--while I'm teaching here, that is. N-not to say that it's a particularly bad thing! I just don't have much of a way to find out more about the mist besides through the resources I've got here.

*OH THE LIBRARY. Full of so many words and wisdom. Pfft, Batty didn't care because he didn't know how to read human language, even though he understood it quite well do to his time in that laboratory.

He flies through the large library, looking at all the shelves and books before his face slams into the stack of books, luckily, only knocking off a few of them. Batty screams in surprise and falls to the ground, being covered by those few books.*

[OH GOD WHAT--

Milo jumps to his feet at the noise and picks the books up off Batty!]

A-are you all right?!

*Batty's eyes flutter open and stare up, seeing the human. Not only did he notice that, but the glint of his glasses really set him off. He grabs one of the books, the best he can, and holds it up offensively... or was it more of a defensive maneuver? Even though the bat looked confident, his little knees shaking.

He peeks over the edge of it and glares at him. Glasses only reminded him of scientists.*

Of course I'm alright, human! I'm alive and breathing, aren't I?!

[Milo's shoulders slump; he looks down at Batty quizzically, head tilted slightly.]

Well. You did just have a bunch of books fall on top of you.

[The corner of his mouth quirks--a small smile--and he holds out a hand to Batty. Whether it was to take the book back or to help him up, he wasn't entirely sure. Whichever came first.]
