[ Don't be surprised to find this one approaching you cautiously. While the idea of a snow leopard being a Kung Fu warrior wasn't exactly computing, still. Martial arts? Helga couldn't resist. ]

Kung Fu.

Might I ask if you're accepting teachers as well?

The only injuries that will come to my students are ones they manage to inflict on themselves. I won't be asking any of them to fight me.

Then that's all that I need to hear.

Pardon me. I didn't happen to catch your name.

I am Tai Lung.

[He takes a deep breath.]

And you are?

Lieutenant Helga Sinclair.

I teach Practical Combat and assist with the ROTC and JROTC classes.

A pleasure, Tai Lung.

"Practical" Combat?

[He sounds like he's trying to hold back a laugh.]

Practical Combat. Combat not meant to injure, rather to immobilize your opponent and defend yourself.

[ She scoffs. ]

Though, if you'd like a showcase, perhaps we could try this again, with clearer rules.

If you would like.

[He's looking no less confident now than before.]

[ Now she takes a more offensive stance. Words don't need to be said. Not holding back this time. ]

[This time, Tai Lung is content to be patient. He knows the way she fights now, and getting around it to deliver a nerve attack and paralyze her will hardly be a challenge.]

[ He knows how she demonstrates, but not how she survives, and this is her key tactic. Remaining unpredictable. However, she won't be attacking first. She'd have to be a fool, seeing how much larger he is than her. ]

[Tai Lung shrugs, then makes a great leap into the air, putting a distance of what might have been almost two stories between himself and his opponent, before crashing back down into the cement only centimeters away from her, the impact creating a small shockwave as he shoves himself forward using a great deal of that momentum.]

[ The only advantage she has up on his size is that it's familiar. His stature and weight is similar to her superior, and that was all she needed. Crossing her arms and protecting her face from his forceful lunge, she again, gains the ground she needs away from him to think, to know, to learn his movements and mannerisms. Did he take the cheap shots? How was his reaction time? The key was to learn all this without falling, and so, she would. ]

[If nothing else, she's proving herself apt at deflecting any full-out attacks. He darts forward, stopping just inches away from her this time, then quickly lashes out with much more reserved strikes, aimed for very specific pressure points.]

[ It was almost all she could do, with his speed and practiced precision. A strike lands, close enough to the apex of her collarbone and shoulder, stunning her mildly. Avoiding another towards her jaw and her left arm temporarily useless, she manages to catch a strike, and wrench his wrist again. only this time, she was much less gentle about it. ]

[He resists the urge to chuckle when she wrenches his wrist, as now she has no real way to defend herself from a strike to the same pressure point on her other shoulder. Sure, he'd be feeling the pain from her hold, and it wasn't insignificant by any means, but it would more or less end their little bout, for now.]
