[ Esmeralda's not in the best of moods. Since her last transmission on the comm, her mood had only soured even worse. But it wasn't annoyance or inconvenience this time. More along the lines of sorrow and frustration.

She couldn't find Quasi to save her life. He's probably been locked up after the Mist fiasco.

Tulio didn't remember---well, anything.

[The chapel was one of those places on the campus that Rameses actually hardly visited at all. He knew it was a holy building of some kind, but was reluctant to enter should his gods find it sacrilegious. Still, when he saw the expression on Esmeralda's face from a distance as she went inside, he found himself following. He'd talked to her a time or two in the past and found her pleasant...on the eyes as well as in disposition. And having recently somewhat gotten over his emotional turmoil with Lottie left him feeling more sympathetic to those who seemed to be going through troubles as well.

After walking into the chapel, he'd approach her, giving a light cough to announce his arrival. Certainly didn't want to surprise her or anything.]

[ Noting he was much more polite than most, she decided not to ignore his presence.

She finished her last thought to her Lord and nodded in pause, before turning to greet her visitor. ]

Rameses. Not the first person I'd expect to see down here.

I agree with you. This isn't a place I often visit. I actually saw you come in and wanted to see if you were alright.

[ Her forced smile becomes sincere. She appreciattes his concern. ]

I don't visit often either.

But thank you, that's...very sweet of you.

[The door closes thunderously in the silence of the chapel, and Esmeralda can hear a few steps forward behind her, then silence as the second visitor to the chapel comes to a halt.]

[ She can tell by the footfalls just who it is. But curiosity can't stop her from finishing her thought and turning to confirm her suspicion. Still, she decides not to make the first comment, that way she'd keep instigation off her her record too. She knew when to pick her fights, the Feast was a good time, here, alone, was not.

And yet something nibbled at the back of her mind. She stood up for him in the Mist, and he still backstabbed them all.

Did she expect anything else? She shouldn't have. Still, it stung. This wasn't something she had to think about, she concluded. She had bigger things on her to do list, bringing up predictable things with Frollo wasn't one of them.

She went back to her own business, though in the air of predictability, she probably should've expected a interruption. ]

[Frollo maintains a hard stare at Esmeralda but does not speak as he slides into a pew towards the back of the chapel. His opinion of her has not changed. If anything, he saw her involvement in the matter with the Mist as a complete hindrance.]

[ She's suddenly paranoid at how quiet it is, and the air is unsettling to her now. Maybe he wasn't all that predictable at all. Esme's wondering what exactly he's doing.

Pushing all curiosities to the back of her mind for a split second, she finishes her prayer, and stands, brushing her hair from her face and straightening out her skirt. She doesn't exactly have a bone to pick; the gypsy's just concerned for her friend. On her way out, she approaches the side of the pew, without a whole lot of thought put into her action. What she does put in, however, is the effort not to sound standoffish. ]

...Is Quasi alright?
