[Xehanort's been missing for a while, now. Not like everyone who paid attention to the list of those missing due to this madness didn't already know that. But, what about those left behind who were close to him?

Had Xion known him better than he? Was that why she was gone too, along with Terra and Aqua? Either way, anyone passing by Xehanort's dorm

[Lottie had actually been on her way to check in on the kids. After seeing Mera so down the other day, and knowing Xehanort was missing, she thought it only the right thing to do.

Imagine her surprise when looked to her left and saw Mera in a different bedroom that what was on the roster.

She could guess well enough whose room it was. She knocks softly on the door frame before entering and sitting down next to the boy. Before saying a word, she wrapped and arm around his shoulder and held him close.]

You goin' t'be alright, honey?

[The timing really was everything. But yes, there he stayed, trying not to laugh at the sheer irony. When it came to the Mist taking individuals, he understood that it would cause them to be trapped within their greatest fears and yet here he was, facing one of them alone.

...Until he heard a knock on the door frame. Mera doesn't look up, still burning a hole into the floor. Though he automatically leans a bit into her. W-what a way to find out he hates being alone.

His voice is quiet when he replies.] ...Xion was called.

[Lottie rubbed his shoulder a bit, trying to comfort him further.]

She'll be fine. And so will your fathah. You jus'... got t'have faith.

[She took another deep breath. She was worried too, not just for him, but for Elizabeth as well.]

I know how you feel, sugah. One of my bes' friends was kidnapped too. B-but I have t'believe that whoevah was chosen t'save her will do so, and she'll be back again, smilin' and evah th'same.

Faith...

[The concept was foreign to him; he'd been taught that only facts mattered outside of family--and friends. But trust and sympathy he could understand, and he can hear the worry in Lottie's voice. Uncertain, he wraps an arm around Lottie's waist.]

... We'll just have to trust them, then... Xion, Terra, Aqua, and whoever went to save your friend.

[He enters. Sora's been a little apprehensive, keeping his head down and getting through school, shutting himself in his room and researching, practicing with his keyblade, preparing. It's been a long time since he's faced the Mist, and he wants to be ready.]

[But seeing Mera like that- it reminds him that he has friends here, too. People he should be talking to, checking up on. His focus has never been the best, but maybe its time to take a break and simply do what he does best- help others.]

Hey. [He perches on the edge of the bed with a grin, even if he knows it isn't Mera's room.] Waiting for someone?

[Good; then his emo mode was good for something, I mean--

Mera blinks when Sora makes his presence known, looking up to... was he familiar enough with the guy to consider him a friend? He didn't know. And how could someone be so happy?]

I guess... [Read: my entire family.] Find either of your friends, yet?

[Mera looks upset. Sora would frown at that- frown at himself for not knowing why, but he just keeps a pleasant face, nodding his head.]

Yeah; Kairi's here, too! She's a lot older now, though. But you'll like her, I'm sure of it! [He's very enthusiastic about the idea- he wants to show off Kairi to everyone he knows, and wants to show off Mera to Kairi, as well. She'll be so surprised.]

[Well, yeah. And maybe he'll say why he is upset, but right now... he's just a tiny bit amused. Using that to cover up just how shitty he feels right now.]
