[ Meg's been chilling up on the roof since the sun had been setting, afraid to approach anybody in fear of being asked questions, or otherwise poked or prodded. It wasn't until she'd heard him mumble from across the roof---well. She wasn't sure to be terrified or relieved.

Either way, she knew he'd be pissed if she didn't let him know she was there. So, might as well. ]

Rhyme or reason? It didn't matter. Logic and sense had long sense left her. A shock of fear traveled through her at his sudden voice; swallowing hard, she looked for an exit... no way out unless she walked right by him. Damn.
