[Tulio wasn't really having a good new year. There were some highlights, of course, like singing and dancing with Elizabeth, Esmeralda returning, drinking with Rapunzel and Flynn, Valentine's day with Chel, baking a cake with Ariel, fireworks with Astrid and her suspiciously young-looking boyfriend... but there was still something missing ( Read more... )

[Tulio was only half-asleep by the time Mulan began walking through the garden. He peeked his eye open at the hum and gave her a wide smile.]

[Miguel had hardly seen hide or hair of Tulio since their meeting with Dr. Facilier. He figured he would let Tulio have his space, since the man was so obviously disturbed (and possibly deranged).

That was before his chat with Chel.

Now, Miguel doesn't quite know what to do, though he gets the impression an apology might be in order. With this in mind, he scours the grounds for Tulio, making the botanical garden his last stop. Finding Tulio asleep puts a bit of a damper on his plans. After a moment's indecision, he settles on a whisper.]

...Tulio?

[Half-asleep and a bit groggy, but he wasn't oblivious. His eyes opened and for a heartbreaking moment his blue eyes lit up with hope. Was he dreaming? Did Miguel finally recognize him?]

Heh. It kinda reminds me of Spain. Not the city, but out in the countryside... [Laying back in the grass, his eyes closed, listening to Miguel strum a new song on his mandolin.]

[He had been so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he hadn't even bothered to look up at the trees. Now that he was lying down just once glance up would bring the gorgeous Atlantean into his vision.

Yelping he tried to jump up, but instead the hammock made him twist in the fabric instead.]
