[ It'd been a while since she'd really talked to anyone, besides Dug, the odd companion with his simple game of fetch, and the accident in Flint's lab.

Kida was upset. Upset that everyone had gone, and upset that everyone had come back, except Milo. Helga, Rourke, Vinny, she half expected Audrey. Doctor Kindly hadn't come back either. She was three ( Read more... )

[Flint was out of his lab, a rare sight indeed. He would say it was because his eyes hurt, but really it was more due to the little nagging voice of his father in his head. He'd left them all behind in Swallow Falls... but he still couldn't leave his father's words and worries behind.

He won't be noticing Kida, but perhaps she'll notice him first as he ambles past.]

[ She might've dozed off just a bit, but she immediately jolts awake at the tickling of his very spiky hair under her dangling foot. She pulls her foot up to notice her new friend. ]

...

[ Albeit it's not a good idea? She nudges him in the back of the head with the tips of her toes. ]

Kida?

[Elisa had spotted the Atlantean as she made her way into the gardens and broke into a jog to try and catch up, though Kida was already up in the tree by the time she made it. She knew that Helga had recently returned from her expedition and that there was still no sign of Milo. Even if there was nothing she could actually do to help, Elisa knew that walking past without comment was even less of an option.]

Are you ok up there?

[ Kida had climbed her way up there indeed, and only took notice of the Detective as soon as she'd gotten settled. She looked for the English term to convey her feelings the best. ]

There have been worse things.

[ Not exactly the sentiment she was looking for. But close enough. ]

Never apologise for being late! *is almost always late* newyorkbynight March 11 2011, 18:43:34 UTC
There have been better things, too.

[She drew closer to the tree, but didn't attempt to climb up.]

How are you doing, Kida?

I wish things were better now and worse later.

But I suppose such wishes are mere wishes.

[ She doesn't answer the question, because she's not sure how to describe the feeling without littering it with Atlantean curses. ]
