[Sweet's been around. Gathering supplies, mostly. Medical things were something he couldn't afford to leave behind. He'd figured out enough in the small amount of time he'd been here so far that when the fences go down, it means something bad. They had students to protect, yeah. That's why they're in the bunkers. He didn't volunteer to go

Santorini had already shown he wasn't exactly keen on Rourke's appearance, but the Commander knew that he could be won over. If nothing else, he'd follow Rourke because Helga was following him again. He still remembered the one or two times interacting with Audrey during his last stint and figured that she'd still be on decent terms with him. Sweet wasn't one to really hold a grudge, though he had a bit of idealism in him...came with the Hippocratic Oath. And Thatch...he might leave him to Helga. They'd gotten close in his absence.
After Sweet had set up that little circle of lanterns and much of the crew had gathered, he'd emerge from the darkness.]
Certainly does bring back memories seeing you all here like this.

[She knew someone would comment on it.
After all, it was common enough that they ignored bruises and minor cuts. At least on expeditions. They knocked into things, moved wrong... Any sort of explanation.
But a bruise like that. That wasn't in their "code" to overlook. But she was going to try and brush it off as nothing that needed to be remarked upon further.
Given current company, she knew it wouldn't work.]
Have a seat.
[Worst the others could do was decide to pack up and move.
She wanted him here. They could either deal with it or relocate.]

For some reason, he just wasn't feeling the joy tonight. Was it simply the advancing mist? Probably not. He got the feeling it also involved a certain commanders return, as well as a serious lack of sleep.]

...Milo cast a covert glare at a certain someone who was currently conversing with Helga and absently rubbed at his jaw, which was, for some reason, sore.
They were all okay. For now. He'd just have to keep telling himself that. Sitting beside Vinny, he sighed.]

Quietly, she nodded.]
Sore, Thatch?

[He hadn't been paying attention to his own movement. Oh. Uh.]

One of those doctor things, she guessed.
Audrey could barely keep her eyes open as it was. You could have the best one sided conversation with her right now.
Or try to doodle on her face. Granted that might result in vanishing mustaches or broken glasses but hey, there was some levity needed.]

Digging through his backpack, Vinny pulled out the one marker he had with him and tucked it into his pocket. Walking over to Audrey and plopping down beside her, he decided to test how awake she was before he did anything.]

...As soon as this is all over, I'm resigning. I'm going back to Atlantis. At a time like this, I can't leave Atlantis alone.

It's a bold move, and it takes her one more moment to gather her courage.]
You know, Thatch...
Your luck, you'd never make it there alive.
[She glanced over at him, arching an eyebrow.]
At least, not alone.

Seriously. You would be so dead without someone coming along for the ride.

Milo, I'll hand it to you that you got it all up there. [He taps a wide finger to his temple.] You got us there once; I don't doubt you can find yo' way back. But let me say this. Girl's right. You'd bust yo'self just tryin' to get down there.
You know how to drive a sub?
