To put it simply: your worst fears, greatest desires, or if you're really lucky, both. All in the interest of sharpenin' you up before you encounter too much of the real thing, o' course.

Oh it's not for me, Es, I got my own defenses against all this Mist business. It's for the students an' faculty who don't have the same resources at their disposal. 'S why I was hired.

Jus' what it sounds like: usin' dreams -- or waking dreams, really, but it's all the same idea -- to help you build a resistance against the Mist. Can't exactly go after 'em with a stick, right? It's a mental battle.
