[If you walk through the botanical gardens, you may hear someone talking to himself. If you look closer, you'll notice that person as Arthur, who has decided to find a quiet spot and read. However, he is reading aloud since he hasn't quite mastered silent reading yet, but he is making his best efforts to keep his voice down

[Ariel's taking a nice relaxing stroll outside too. She's distracted though when she hears Arthur's voice reading aloud - She hasn't met the young boy yet and as always she's rather keen to make new friends.]

[Arthur jumps ever so slightly, then looks up at Ariel] Ah! sorry, was I being too loud? It's just I can't read very well, and I thought coming here would annoy less people.

...I don't think i've seen you before, but then again, i've only been here a couple of days. I'm Arthur. [smiles, and puts his book down] Could I ask who you are?

I'm Ariel, it's nice to meet you Arthur.

[She takes a seat next to him.] I don't mind if you read aloud, I'm used to it! Have you met Belle? She LOVES books!

Good to meet you too.

I don't think i've met anyone called Belle. But if she really loves books, maybe she can help me to get better at reading!

[Clopin listens patiently to the story]

[Arthur continues his reading, unaware that Clopin is listening. Several grammatical errors here and there, with occasional slowdown for longer words, he carries on through the story of the three little pigs.]

[Arthur looks up towards Clopin] Oh, sorry sir, I thought not to in case people would think I was strange...

so...Should I make some noises like huffing and puffing for the wolf?

[Ohohoho? A child reading? Maybe it was one of Lottie's favorite stories as a child he was reading. The idea excited her, and she bounced on over to him.]

What you got there, sugah?

[Arthur looks up from his book towards lottie] Oh, it's a book. I'm practicing my reading. It's called... [looks at the book cover] The three little pigs.

You evah read that story before?

[Well, not one of Lottie's favorites, but it certainly is a childhood staple.]

Well, no... This is my first time reading it. I thought if i'm going to start reading, i'll need to pick something easy first. I like it though.

[Shere Khan's up in a tree in the garden, simply watching and listening like a creeper. He's been told stories before, but he's never encountered anyone reading one from a book. He'll let his roommate read in peace for the moment]

[Arthur getting ever so slightly paranoid, possibly a sense he's picked up from sharing a room with a tiger. He continues reading, however, ignoring his emotions and absorbing himself in the book]

[As long as he continues reading out loud, Shere Khan will let Arthur read undisturbed. He's heard enough that he wants to hear the story all the way through to the end]

[Arthur reaches the climax of the story, and then puts the book down. He then stretches and picks up the book once more to look at the cover]

Wow... I didn't expect the wolf to die like that... Is this really a children's story?

[Quasi's hobbling along, exploring the campus, when he hears a certain someone reading a story. He follows the voice and is delighted to find that its source is one of his new friends.]

H-hello, Arthur!

[He waves with one massive gorilla-arm as he approaches.]

[Arthur looks up from his book and is a little shocked until he recognises the person. He then spends a few moments trying to remember his name]

Quasimodo! [smiles that he managed to pronounce the name, then waves back]

[Arthur puts the book down and stands up greet Quasimodo] It's great to see you again! How are you?

[Great to see him? Quasi beams.]

I-I'm doing well. And how are you? What are you reading?

I'm really good, thanks. It's a book called "the three little pigs". I thought i'd try reading something easy as practice for english lessons.
