Gray endings?
I read a really cynical, but fully canon compliant, take on the ever-after of Mulan recently, and would love to see cynical endings for other Disney films. What happens is up to filler, but preferably something that acknowledges life is complicated, and doesn't always end either happily or terribly, but somewhere in between. So not happy sex everywhere, but not demon possession or destroying one's enemies by fire either.

Oh, your language is so lovely-- I love how you integrate the imagery of North and the moon. And the fairies! I've always been fascinated by "good" characters who aren't entirely good, who by their very nature can never be, who are far more than they seem to be, and your Merryweather is all of those things. Thank you so much for the fill! <3
Thank you! Were you the same anon who prompted dark!Merryweather? I totally love this prompt, and would also be interested in a rec to the original fic you mentioned. Would you be willing to share?

Sorry, I am not that anon, and I know the Mulan fic is somewhere on AO3 but the site currently isn't loading for me. If you wrote the dark!Merryweather though, that sounds fascinating and I'd love to see it!
Ooh, I may well have read the Mulan fic then, as I trawl AO3 a lot. The dark!Merryweather is here on this meme and is a similar sort of feel, I suppose, although it has Flora and Fauna as less aware.
Thank you! I have this weird fascination with the world of Sleeping Beauty, because there's so much left unsaid. I keep meaning to do longer fics, and end up just dipping instead. *ponders*

The day she was swept up in her prince's arms was the happiest day of her life. Snow White bade her goodbyes to the dwarfs. She kissed and caressed them and they saw her of with smiles and whoops and cries of, "Goodbye! Good luck

It is strange to live in a castle. It is strange to have servants who bring her food and dress her and see to it that she never has to do another chore in her life. It is strange to be called "princess" or "my lady" (though not quite as strange as "my daughter" or "Aurora"). It is strange to sit on a throne at Phillip's side, expected to give advice on solving the problems brought before them

I love your word-building.
The lunar eclipse was awesome, terrifying foreshadowing. I keep forgetting this movie existed, and you keep reminding me!
