Megara is the mermaid who trades everything for the chance at being human. The conditions are the same, and she has to win Eric's heart for the transformation to stick. She plays her cards perfectly, and he's like putty in her hands. After the spell is finalized, Eric expects to marry his mute love and make her his queen. She uses her first words as a human to lolbye him, before riding off into the sunset to start her own life as a human, on her own terms.
