Cinderella, Assassin!Cinderella

The Prince must be the luckiest man on the planet. What are the odds that he met a beautiful, modest woman with just about every quality he's ever looked for at a ball with hundreds of deceptively beautiful women? And the one that caught his eye was really The One? Pretty high, considering every aspect of their interaction had been planned ahead of time. It seems like the Prince has made some powerful enemies who need him disposed of in a way that won't be traced back to them. They find out that he prefers pretty blue eyed blondes, and choose their most charming assassin that fits the description. They make sure they meet, then throw in a staged kingdom-wide search to up the intrigue, and top it off with a phony tragic backstory. And as soon as can be, their hired hand is in a very favourable position to go about discreetly eliminating the pest, without drawing attention to herself or her employers.
Okay, this ran away with me. I mean, seriously ran away. Basically it turned into a Big Bang when I wasn't looking, and this is the result. Multi-crossover, with Cinderella and Tangled as the main fandoms. Er... hope that you still enjoy?

I'm not the OP, but I took the time to read this, and it was AWESOME and great. So good. Like, I would legit read more from this specific universe, because damn.
Plus, inclusion of Jessie and Jane Porter and Charlotte and Esmeralda and others really made me happy. Even if it was brief mentions. (Plus, Jessie's my favourite character, and it makes me happy when she's included).

Aw, thank you! Yeah, I didn't want to make it 'just' about the Princesses, so I took the Disney line of 'everyone is a princess' and ran with that instead, heh.
It was real fun, and I'm glad that at least someone liked it. ^^

Not the OP either... But damn! That was so amazing. So so good. And I totally agree with the anon who would read more from this universe, because I totally would as well. Ah! Just... love.

Thanks! If the plot bunny bites, I might go for it... at the very least, there are the backstories of the girls to write! I'm... not sure whether you can prompt for things set in the same universe as other fills, but I think that it's been done before, so that's probably an option.

Welp, that was epic. Love the mystery and fear-/awe-inspiring aura surrounding Cinderella that you built up. Love the epic crossover and whole concept behind this. Love how the Fairy Godmother is, well, the Godfather.
Love how Tremaine and the stepsisters were in on the plot, and how this way, the story actually makes MORE sense, what with the shoe not fitting anyone, and Tremaine tripping the shoebearer, and "I have its pair" -- OMG BRILLIANT. Very much enjoyed the read. :)

Heh, I think I watched one too many evil!Cinderella videos on youtube, and then something happened and suddenly there were assassins. I didn't deliberately think of it as a Mafia AU until someone else described it as such, and then it made more sense as I had been watching the Godfather films as part of my Criminology course...
Once the prompt asked for the whole thing to be set-up, it just looked so perfect. I'm glad that it all worked in the writing!
