A couple of days ago, I posted an alert about a pre-taped appearance by Bill O'Reilly on tonight's Late Show with David Letterman.

Bill O'Reilly was interesting on Oprah yesterday. It was a great dialogue with the audience and with Oprah. He said it was his favorite appearance anywhere and things were actually discussed instead of just argued about. He's actually making an important point for those that can listen beyond the entertaining (?) argumental rhetoric and banter.

Dave has some good things to say but I tended to agree with O'Reilly about Cindy Sheehan and where he draws the line (explained on Oprah).

I didn't see Oprah. The after school hours are usually pretty hectic and the wife's working extra this week, but I have seen bits and pieces of his other appearances. Of course, if he ever does anything when I can sit and watch, I'd probably do it ( ... )

Sure, she has a right to speak, as do we all. Extra respect? Possibly...but Bill said he drew the line when she called the insurgents 'freedom fighters' because that's disrespectful to the others that have lost loved ones over there.

Okay, so this is the part where I admit that I never really paid any attention to Ms Sheehan. She was a Mom, who lost her son and who tried camping across from Bush's Texas Ranch, while he was on his month long vacation. I remember that a couple of celebs lent some publicity by making a public appearance with her, but I really paid no more attention than I do to the apartment around the corner with the blue star or the protesters who regularly gather on our town plaza. It's all just background noise to what's really important ( ... )
